Brooklyn's Best Entrepreneurs (07/02/2010)
It's July already?!  The summer is going to be over sooner than we know it...
Inc.com recently did an article on Brooklyn's Best Entrepreneurs and low and behold Tiffany Porter and Alex Shulhafer were featured (out of the 12 total) for Old Hollywood! The store at the Limelight is doing great and its opening boosted business for their Greenpoint location - which I have recently heard - is moving!  Staying in Greenpoint though, just expanding its square-footage and gaining a backyard space.  Very excited for that change which is taking place at the end of this month.  Below is a picture from the store window at the Limelight location, complete with EOB swimsuit - sorry it is taking so long to upload pics for the summer 2010 collection..as you can see on the collection page I have started...but pictures of the complete collection are coming soon.  I promise!  Don't hesitate though, snatch one up now at the Greenpoint Old Hollywood location because the new collection is already starting to sell out!

EOB and New York's Housewives (05/16/2010)
Old Hollywood opened it's Manhattan doors last Thursday with the grand opening of the Limelight Marketplace, which is truly a unique shopping experience.  The grand opening party was amazing - it's incredible the transformation that has occured from the time the Limelight was Avalon nightclub (as I remember it from my early college club days), to this shiny and beautiful shopping bazaar, though I seem to have missed out on the true action grand opening night:

Jill Zarin overheard explaining to Kelly Bensimon the concept of “see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil” at the Old Hollywood boutique at Limelight Marketplace’s Grand Opening Party in NYC.

At least  I can rest assured that the housewives and I have similar shopping taste.
Both Old Hollywood locations are now stocked with EOB suits (even if their website says they are sold out, they may have them in the store) and there are more to be shipped in the coming weeks...the brand new collection is also available for purchase in-store only.  The lookbook isn't even out yet, so visit an Old Hollywood location to check it out!

Busy as the Buzz of a Sewing Machine... (04/11/2010)
With only a few weeks before the first shipment of EOB swimsuits will be delivered to Old Hollywood boutique, two great pieces of news have popped up!
*The first weekend in May I am having a photo shoot on the Far Rockaway Beach for the brand new EOB spring/summer 2010 collection!  Everyone keep your fingers crossed as this shoot may be featured in Z!NK magazine!

*And secondly....Old Hollywood is opening a new location in Manhattan!  Now, all you city girls don't have to trek out to Brooklyn to try on a swimsuit!  The old gothic church at the corner of 20th street and 6th Avenue - as my generation would knew as Avalon nightclub, and those who came before us as club Limelight - is opening as the Limelight Marketplace, "a breakthrough approach to retailing for the new economy" as they are calling it.  Three floors of retail stores, home interior shops, an apothecary, and more - doors open April 29th!
What a crazy month April has already been!

January's Shadow (02/03/2010)
Welcome to 2010, I'm only a month late.  But it's as though January sped past me and I'm still standing in it's shadow..so much was thrown to the wayside - I was planning to make Chicago my permanent address as of last Friday, but in the past few weeks plans have not only gone so far off course, I can't even imagine I was so ready to uproot my New York life! New York, I'm here to stay...and I'm more certain than ever.

*An order has been placed from Old Hollywood so their EOB swimsuit stock will be replenished beginning in Mid April.  Stay tuned!

Merry Christmas (12/25/09)
After just checking my itinerary a few minutes ago...my 8am is instead..actually..an 8pm flight, (don't quite know how I missed that when I was booking it) my Christmas spirit has dampened just a bit.  At least JetBlue has changed me now to the 1:49pm to Ohare, but still nothing would have beat potato pancakes from Burgundy's on Christmas morning!  I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas...and also that yours are all a lot less confusing and stressful as mine has started out to be!

Snowy Day in NYC (12/20/09)
My doors are boarded shut with 12 inches of snow...I suppose all I can do is dream about warmer days to come!
Often I turn to Australia for inspiration to get me thru these cold wintry months since they are on an opposite schedule than us in the States...check out these cute and classy suits from Australian Vogue:

EOB Summer 2009 (09/20/09)
With the summer at a screeching halt as days get colder and rainier in NYC, and with the commencement of Mercedes Benz summer Fashion Week for Spring 2010, lets look back at this years greatest moments for EOB as I move forward with designing for the upcoming summer:

New York Magazine 3/20/09
Where four of my swimsuits were featured in a slide show beside Michael Kors, Betsey Johnson, and Juicy Couture.
I've always looked up to the work of New York Magazine especially since Summer 2006 when they
featured Scarlett Johansson in a pin up style swimsuit on the cover (see below of me reading this issue, July 2006)
